| 2Immanuel Lutheran Church: German Band and Lunch Immanuel Lutheran Church: German Band and Lunch Begins: June 2, 2013Ends: June 2, 2013 Immanuel Lutheran Church will host the Guttenberg German Band for a Polka Service at 10:00 am on Sunday, June 2nd at the church. Picnic-style German lunch with free will offering follows the service. Everyone is welcome for the service and lunch! Family Fishing Day Begins: June 2, 2013Ends: June 2, 2013 Family Fishing Day is set for the afternoon of Sunday, June 2, 2013 on Swan Lake at the Heartland Acres Campus. Heartland Acres will open Swan Lake for fishing guests as part of their regular paid museum admission. The event will run from Noon to 4:00PM. Wristbands to fish the lake will be available at the admission office in the museum. Swan Lake is approximately four acres and holds a variety of fish including Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill and Bass. For the event, anglers will be allowed to “catch and keep” all Crappie and Bluegill of appropriate size. All other fish are to be “catch and release”. Pay admission and go fishin’. Regular museum admission covers the opportunity to fish along with a museum visit. Several new displays are out as well as a baby farm animals. Fishing will be allowed from the shore only. Anglers are to bring their own gear. Worms will be supplied by The Bait Shoppe. Simple gear including: poles, 1/8 oz. jigs, twister tails, hooks and sinkers will work fine. Anglers are to follow all Iowa fishing laws and regulations and are required to have a valid Iowa Fishing License and be good sportsmen.
Jesup's Car & Motorcycle Cruise Jesup's Car & Motorcycle Cruise Begins: June 2, 2013Ends: June 2, 2013 The 16th Annual Car & Motorcycle Cruise will be held in Jesup City Park, starting at 2:30pm, with fun activities scheduled throughout the day. In addition to the cruise, beginning at 5pm, other activities also include Auto Destruction at 4pm, a bike drag at 5:45pm, stunt bike show at 6:15pm and burnout competition at 6:45pm. Trophies for best bikes, trucks and cars will be awarded and a raffle drawing will be held. 293rd Annual Kidsville Golf Tournament 3rd Annual Kidsville Golf Tournament Begins: June 29, 2013Ends: June 29, 2013 Everyone is invited to join Kidsville Early Learning Center’s 3rd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament at River Ridge Golf Course. The four-person best shot is scheduled for Saturday, June 29th, 2013 with a shot gun start at 8:00 AM. The cost is $35 per person with an additional $20 for a golf cart.
