The Brew B-Q celebrates two wonderful American delicacies, Beer and BBQ.
Sample and enjoy national brews, imports and craft beers from across the globe in Northeast Iowa’s largest Brew Tasting. Along with the brew tasting is a championship BBQ competition,
bike ride and FREE live music. Drink and be merry with us!
Ride at your own pace around Buchanan County on all hard surfaced roads some of the best in
the state. 25- or 50-mile ride with stops every 10 miles or so. There will be plenty of food and
beverage along the route. Always the second Saturday in June.
Indee’s CruiseMeisters put on this annual fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Along with
a car and motorcycle cruise, there’s FREE live music, food and beverages and an auction. Help
make a dream come true and cruise with us!
Friday Night Live @ 5!
What better way to wind down after a long work week than to stroll down to Riverwalk Parks for a nice refreshing beverage and live music. Three Fridays during the summer, the Chamber of Commerce hosts this FREE event. Bring a lawn chair and relax with us! For 2013 the dates are: May3, June 7 and August 2!

Located at the Buchanan County Fairgrounds, the Independence Motor Speedway has been attracting racers and their fans for over 30 years. Home to Fast. Family. Fun. The 3/8 mile oval dirt track has weekly races on Saturday nights and hosts several special races throughout the season. Find that favorite driver and cheer with us!

The Annual County Fair kicks off with an assortment of 4H Competitions and by Mid-week the midway arrives and grandstand events begin. Almost any type of ride, game, food and beverage are available for people of all ages.

Once a month during the summer, the Library has a FREE movie to watch at the Riverwalk Band Pavilion and Friends of the Library are on-hand with soda and popcorn to complete the cinema experience. Located along Highway 20 on the Southwest side of town, Heartland Acres is the state’s largest agriculture museum. Along with many historical artifacts, there are also many hands-on activities, live farm animals, classic car museum and a one room schoolhouse to educate and entertain visitors.
